Anne’s home port — Vermilion, Ohio

I plan trips all over the world, but my home port is Vermilion, on the shore of Lake Erie. Come summer, this little harbor town fills with boats — and plenty of Great Loopers tie up here on their way through the Great Lakes. With the lighthouse standing over the beach and sails on the horizon, it’s the kind of place that makes you fall for life on the water. It certainly worked on me.
