LGBTQ+ Travel

Cruises, resorts, and getaways planned by someone who gets it — because I live it. I plan LGBTQ+ travel the way I plan my own trips with my wife: bound for the places that are genuinely glad you’re there.

There’s a difference between a destination that allows you and one that welcomes you — and I know it from the inside.

LGBTQ+ travel is one of my listed specialties on my Travel Leaders profile, and it has become one of the biggest parts of my work at Captain’s Log Travel in Vermilion, Ohio. I’m a member of the community myself, and I cruise the world with my wife, Kathy — so when I tell you a cruise line, a resort, or a destination is genuinely welcoming, that judgment comes from experience, not from a brochure.

What that means for your trip: you can hold hands at dinner, celebrate the occasion you actually came for, and spend your energy on the vacation instead of wondering how you’ll be received. And like every trip I plan, there is no service fee for my help.

What I watch for

Anyone can hang a rainbow in a brochure window. I look deeper — at the things that decide whether a trip actually feels welcoming once you’re on it.

Local laws and attitudes

Welcome isn’t the same everywhere. I check what the laws and the local attitudes actually are at your destination, so there are no surprises waiting when you arrive.

A real track record

A rainbow logo is easy to print. I look at how a cruise line or resort actually treats its LGBTQ+ guests, year in and year out — and steer you toward the ones that walk the walk.

Comfortable, start to finish

From the cabin or room choice to dining, excursions, and time ashore, the details are planned so the two of you — or just you — can relax and be yourselves for the whole trip.

The celebration details

Honeymoons, anniversaries, weddings, and milestone birthdays deserve more than a standard package. I handle the touches that make it feel like your occasion, not just a booking.

Trips I plan for the community

However you travel, and whoever you travel with, there’s a version of the trip that fits.

Honeymoons & Romantic Getaways

Start married life somewhere the two of you can simply be a couple on your honeymoon — a ship or a shoreline where nobody gives you a second look, except to bring you another drink.

Group Cruises & Celebrations

Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and reunions at sea — group space and perks arranged, with one person keeping the whole crew organized and the celebration front and center.

Pride & Festival Trips

Sail or fly in for Pride and the great festivals, with the travel logistics handled and a welcoming home base in the middle of it all — so the trip feels like part of the celebration.

Solo Travel

Traveling on your own doesn’t have to mean traveling unlooked-after. I pick ships, lines, and destinations where solo travelers are genuinely welcomed, not just accommodated.

Friends & Chosen Family

The family you choose deserves a trip of its own — cruises and resorts where your whole crew can be together, relax together, and be completely themselves together.

Don’t See Your Trip?

If it’s worth celebrating, it’s worth planning well. Tell me the trip you’re picturing and I’ll shape it around you.

A note from Anne

When Kathy and I travel, we look for the same thing my clients do: a place where we can relax, be ourselves, and be looked after well. That’s the standard I plan to — it’s my name on the door, and it’s my community on the trip.

So if you’re part of the community, or traveling with someone who is, I’d be proud to help you chart your course. Roam Without Limits, Navigate With Confidence — that’s not just a tagline on my hat. It’s how I believe everyone should get to travel.
