Land vacations, planned by someone who knows the places

All-inclusive resorts, tours, and Disney vacations planned by me, Anne Conrad of Captain’s Log Travel in Vermilion, Ohio — and no service fee.

Not every great trip floats. Some of the best ones start at a resort gate, a tour coach door, or a theme park entrance — and they go wrong in the same ways cruises do: the wrong property for your pace, the wrong room, the wrong week of the season.

The Caribbean & Mexico, all in

The Caribbean and Mexico are where most of my land clients land first — and “all-inclusive” means something different at every brand. What’s actually included, the quality of the beach, whether it’s lively or quiet, adults-only or built for families: those are the calls that decide whether a resort week is a bargain or a disappointment.

I book the major resort brands — including RIU, Bahia Principe, Iberostar, Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Palladium, and Playa Hotels & Resorts — and I’ll match you to the one that fits the trip you actually want, not the one with the loudest ad.

The logistics, handled

Some trips are better with the logistics handled: escorted tours where the route, the hotels, and the transfers are arranged before you leave, and vacation packages that bundle flights, stays, and extras into one plan. Through partners like Apple Vacations and Funjet Vacations, I can build either — in Europe, across the U.S., and beyond — and I’ll tell you honestly when a guided tour serves you better than going it alone, and when it doesn’t.

Disney and Universal vacations

Theme park vacations have more moving parts than most cruises.

Magic, with a plan

Theme park vacations have more moving parts than most cruises: park days, resort choice, dining, and timing all interact, and the details are where these trips are won or lost. I’m a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge, so Disney vacations — Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond — are planned with first-hand training behind them, and I plan Universal Parks & Resorts trips the same careful way.
