The Disney Believe Reveal: Encanto at Sea, a Moana Grand Hall — and Booking Opens Next Week

Disney Cruise Line pulled back the curtain on its newest ship last week, and I watched the whole reveal the way I watch anything Disney announces — as a fan, yes, but also as an advisor already thinking about which of my clients are going to want to be on this ship. The Disney Believe is the fourth ship in the Wish class (joining the Wish, Treasure, and Destiny), and now we know where she’s sailing, when she starts, and what makes her different.

The headline facts. The Believe makes her maiden voyage on December 18, 2027 — a 5-night Bahamian sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, calling at both of Disney’s island destinations, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Disney Castaway Cay, plus Nassau. After that she settles into 4- and 5-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean sailings through spring 2028, including Western Caribbean runs to Cozumel with a Castaway Cay stop. Port Everglades is a port I know well, and it’s an easy homeport to build a trip around.

The big first: Encanto on stage. The Believe will carry the world’s first stage adaptation of Encanto, created with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s involvement — yes, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” on a Broadway-caliber stage at sea. She’ll also bring a reimagined Tangled: The Musical and the Wish-class favorite Disney Seas the Adventure.

Dinner comes with a blizzard. The new rotational dining room is Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast — a Frozen dinner show with Oaken hosting and Anna and Kristoff stopping by. The other two dining rooms, 1923 and Worlds of Marvel, return from her sister ships. For the grown-ups, the Haunted Mansion Parlor appears on its third ship, joined by two new lounges: Sea Notes, a Little Mermaid piano bar, and Wishing Well, a storybook lounge inspired by Snow White.

A Grand Hall worthy of a wayfinder. First impressions matter on a Disney ship, and the Believe’s Grand Hall is inspired by Moana — ocean colors, a chandelier modeled on moving water with a hidden Heart of Te Fiti, and a bronze statue of Moana herself (with Pua and Heihei, naturally).

My one piece of advisor advice: don’t pick your sailing by the ship alone. Two Believe sailings can be very different vacations — some visit one Disney island, some visit both, and the Western Caribbean runs swap in Cozumel and extra sea days. The islands are half the magic on these itineraries, so let’s match the sailing to the trip you actually want.

And here’s the date that matters most: booking opens in tiers next week — Pearl Castaway Club members on Monday, October 12, Platinum on October 13, Gold on October 14, and Silver on October 15, with general booking opening Monday, October 19, 2026. Inaugural-season sailings on a brand-new Disney ship do not sit around — the maiden voyage’s announced fares start at $6,444 for two, and the best stateroom locations go first. If the Believe is on your family’s wish list, reach out to me before the 19th so we can have your sailing picked and be ready the moment booking opens.
